About Evan Donin, PMHNP-BC

Evan Donin is a board certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Sunshine Mental Wellness Associates Inc. He provides compassionate, patient centered psychiatric care with a focus on evidence based treatment and collaborative support.

Evan began his career in business before choosing to pursue mental health care, driven by a desire to help individuals facing complex emotional and psychological challenges. He started his clinical career as a psychiatric registered nurse at Sagamore Children’s Psychiatric Center and later worked at Zucker Hillside Hospital, part of Northwell Health, gaining experience in high acuity psychiatric settings.

He earned his Master of Science in Nursing with a specialization in Psychiatric Mental Health from Adelphi University and became board certified in 2022. Evan is licensed as a nurse practitioner in both New York and Florida.

Today, Evan focuses on private practice through Sunshine Mental Wellness Associates, providing psychiatric evaluations and medication management for adolescents and adults ages 12 and older. His approach emphasizes trauma informed, compassionate care where patients feel heard, supported, and empowered in their mental health journey.
